Jenner & Block Partner Andrew W. Vail will present at the NACDL's 2019 Midwinter Meeting and Seminar. The two-day meeting will focus, first, on litigating the admissibility of identifications using the latest psychological research. The second day will focus on false confessions, with experienced trial lawyers outlining winning cross-examination techniques, trial strategies and how to select a jury. Mr. Vail’s session will be held on the second day, February 15, and is titled “From Confession to Acquittal: In-Depth Trial Strategies for the Confession Case.” The meeting will be held in Phoenix.
Mr. Vail is a first-chair litigator who has significant experience in both federal and state courts, representing individuals, privately held, public and Fortune 500 companies as both plaintiff and defense counsel. He has represented a number of pro bono clients at trial and post-conviction proceedings.
