Jenner & Block Partner Neil M. Barofsky will present at a conference that will examine the financial crisis of the late 2000s. The topic of his talk is “The Legacy of the Bailouts: Where Are We Now?” His presentation is part of a conference titled “Perspectives on the Financial Crisis,” organized by The Graduate Center at the City University of New York. Mr. Barofsky’s session will be held from 4:20 to 4:40 pm on November 28, 2018, at the university, 365 Fifth Avenue in New York.
Mr. Barofsky served as the presidentially appointed first special inspector general of the historic $700 billion Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP). In that role, he created and oversaw a law enforcement division that conducted criminal and civil investigations of fraud and abuse linked to the bailout program. He is the author of Bailout, his bestselling book about his experiences at TARP.
