“Letter of Credit Law Summit,” International Banking Law & Practice

Jenner & Block Partner Carter H. Klein will chair a segment on fax presentations on letters of credit and will participate on a panel dealing with letter of credit scams and fraud, with particular focus on the recent $2 billion Modi diamond fraud on Punjabi National Bank.  Partner Richard Levin has been appointed trustee of three of the Modi entities in the United States involved in that fraud.  Mr. Klein will also participate in discussions by the other panels at the 2018 Letter of Credit Law Summit. 

Sponsored by the Institute of International Banking Law and Practice, the two-day conference brings together top industry leaders to discuss recent court cases and legal interpretations that affect the Letter of Credit practice.  The event begins October 25and will be hosted at the Citigroup Citi HQ Conference Center in New York City.
