Jenner & Block Partner Justin C. Steffen will participate in a panel discussion, titled “Blockchain: Accelerating Traceback Investigations in Food Poisoning Outbreaks,” that will provide insight on how blockchain technology can help contain food-borne illnesses and mitigate the legal ramifications involved. The one-day conference, which will be held at the Omni Chicago Hotel, will also include panels focused on recent developments in food industry class actions, ethical issues, food safety, as well as recent and future trends in the area, among other topics.
Mr. Steffen is a member of Jenner & Block’s Complex Commercial Litigation Practice and the firm’s FinTech Industry Group. He routinely represents clients in large, “bet-the-company” litigation, internal investigations, and assists online lenders, payment processors and blockchain/cryptocurrency companies in navigating the evolving regulatory and legal environment.
