“Virtual Reality,” Lattice Society

Jenner & Block Partner Alison I. Stein will be participating in a panel discussion on the legal issues and business challenges involving virtual reality (VR) technology.  The panelists will address the differences between VR, augmented reality, mixed reality and 3D technology; VR’s impact in the gaming and entertainment industries; the legal issues and regulation surrounding VR; and what’s next in the industry. 

In addition to Ms. Stein, the panel includes Lucy Lu of Littlstar and filmmaker Shruti Rya Ganguly and will be moderated by Kesari Ruza, co-founder of the Lattice Society and vice president of Legal Affairs, Branding & Marketing at Home Box Office.  The Lattice Society is an organization that promotes the professional, personal and business interests of senior legal and business affairs executives in the media, entertainment and digital industries. 

Ms. Stein, an intellectual property litigator in the firm's Content, Media and Entertainment Practice, focuses on matters involving entertainment litigation, content protection, copyright infringement, copyright terminations, trademark enforcement, trade secrets, unfair competition, defamation, licensing negotiations and contractual disputes.  She represents a wide range of companies and individuals, including record labels, media organizations, publishing companies, performing rights organizations, television companies, fashion companies, technology companies, financial organizations, authors and individual artists.
