On August 3, Special Counsel Amna Arshad participated in a CLE presentation at the 2018 ABA Annual Meeting in Chicago. Sponsored by the ABA Young Lawyers Division (YLD) Committee on Air & Space Law, the panel, titled “Flyers Rights: What Every Traveler Should Know,” focused on incidents in air travel, providing an overview of the laws and regulations surrounding consumer rights in air travel. Panelists included Maegan Johnson from the Office of Aviation Enforcement and Proceedings, Meghan Ludtke from American Airlines, and Aleksandra Puscinska of Clyde & Co. in London. They explored whether there is too much regulation, too little or just enough.
Ms. Arshad is a member of the firm’s Aerospace and Aviation Practice. She has significant experience helping businesses navigate the challenging regulatory landscape of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and new and emerging technologies prior to and following the passage of Part 107, the regulations governing commercial UAS operations.
