Jenner & Block Partner Cynthia J. Robertson will moderate a panel at the 2018 ABA Section of Public Contract Law Annual Meeting on August 3 at the InterContinental Chicago Magnificent Mile. The panel, titled “Breaking News in Federal Contracting,” will discuss the Trump administration’s new regulatory policy, with deregulation and staff reductions at its core; the benefits and challenges of Other Transaction Authority (OTA); cybersecurity and foreign cyber threats; the challenges prime contractors face in managing their foreign suppliers in their supply chain; and other recent case law updates in the news.
Panelists include Donald Mansfield, a professor of Contract Management at Defense Acquisition University; Linda Lourie, the associate general counsel of acquisitions and logistics at the US Department of Defense; Amanda Rutenberg, the associate general counsel at Aerojet Rocketdyne; and Daniel Seiden, a senior legal editor at Bloomberg Government Federal Contracts Report.
Ms. Robertson is a partner in the firm’s Government Contracts Practice. She provides strategic counseling to government contractors on a broad range of compliance issues and draws upon a litigation and investigation background. She has been involved in complex trial preparation before the Court of Federal Claims and appellate briefing in the Federal Circuit on behalf of some of the largest US defense contractors. Ms. Robertson briefs bid protests and has appeared before the GAO for bid protest hearings. She also assists clients with claims and prime/subcontractor disputes.
