On October 3, Jenner & Block Partner Katya Jestin will be a panelist at the Practising Law Institute’s (PLI) White Collar Crime 2018 program at PLI’s New York Conference Center. Her program will provide an update on the SEC’s enforcement priorities, including foreign corrupt practices, fraudulent sales practices, accounting violations, high-frequency trading issues and insider trading. In addition to Ms. Jestin, the panel’s speakers will include current and former high-level officials in many of the United States’ top enforcement agencies, as well as in-house counsel and leading defense practitioners. They will discuss the tools needed to design and implement effective compliance and risk management strategies, as well as explore the implications of the government’s current and future priorities. The program begins at 9 am ET.
Ms. Jestin is co-chair of the firm's Investigations, Compliance and Defense Practice and counsels companies and executives in criminal, regulatory and congressional investigations, including representing clients before the United States Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission and the US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. Ms. Jestin has also conducted internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients, provided counsel to senior management on FCPA and other compliance issues, and served as counsel to the Examiner in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy examination.
