Jenner & Block’s Washington, DC Office Hosts ABA’s Space Law Symposium

On June 7, the firm’s Washington, DC office hosted the American Bar Association’s Space Law Symposium. The event was attended by a number of Jenner & Block personnel and lawyers, including Special Counsel Paul Alp, who is a member of the ABA Forum on Air & Space Law; Partner Abby L. Bried, who is on the ABA Air & Space Forum Governing Committee and is co-chair of the firm’s Aviation and Aerospace Practice; and Partner Marc L. Warren, who is also a co-chair of the firm’s Aviation and Aerospace Practice and is a former member of the ABA Air & Space Forum Governing Committee.

The event featured prominent speakers in space law, space policy, space agency and commercial space sectors, including NASA Associate Administrator for Strategy and Plans Thomas Cremins and former FAA/AST Associate Administrator George Nield. The symposium also included panel discussions on topics such as “Non-Traditional On-orbit Space Activities and Authorizations,” “The Changing Landscape of the Commercial Space Industry” and “Exploration and the Moon: Law and Policy Impacts on Future Activities.”
