“Emerging Topics in Corporate Internal Investigations,” New York City Bar Association's 7th Annual White Collar Crime Institute

will moderate a panel discussion on emerging topics in corporate internal investigations at the New York City Bar Association's 7th Annual White Collar Crime Institute. The full-day program, assembled by the White Collar Criminal Law Committee of which Ms. Jestin is a faculty member, will focus on the critical developments that have characterized this era of white collar enforcement and the widespread political, social and economic impacts of white collar criminal prosecutions and investigations. The event will take place on May 9 and Ms. Jestin's session will begin at 9:45 am ET.
Ms. Jestin represents companies and executives in criminal, regulatory, and congressional investigations, including before the United States Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the US Senate Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations. She also conducts internal investigations on behalf of corporate clients, provides counsel to senior management on FCPA and other compliance issues, and served as counsel to the Examiner in the Lehman Brothers bankruptcy examination. As a federal prosecutor and a supervisor in the Eastern District of New York, she prosecuted and convicted the leadership of three of the five organized crime families of La Cosa Nostra.
