“How UAS/Drones Have and Will Continue to Impact Transportation,” ABA Air & Space Forum

Jenner & Block Special Counsel Amna Arshad will moderate a panel at the ABA Forum on Air & Space Law entitled “How UAS/Drones Have and Will Continue to Impact Transportation.”  The panel will discuss the continuing development of the legal and regulatory landscape for drones.  In particular, panelists will consider the future role of drones in air transportation and related services, and the growing desire of local communities to regulate drone activity. The panel will also evaluate the legal and regulatory challenges involved for other emerging air transportation innovations, such as on demand urban air transportation.  The forum will be held in Washington, DC on February 23.

Ms. Arshad is a member of the Aviation and Aerospace Practice.  She has significant experience helping businesses navigate the challenging regulatory landscape of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) and new and emerging technologies prior to and following the passage of Part 107, the regulations governing commercial UAS operations.
