Jenner & Block Partners Alan B. Roth and Olga A. Loy spoke at a seminar that offered insights on small business investment company (SBIC) trends. Topics included licensing and fund formation; small business investor alliance (SBIA) legislative update; and small business administration (SBA) reporting, compliance, accounting, tax and distribution planning. Titled “Timely Insights on SBIC Trends,” the program was co-sponsored by RSM and Jenner & Block and held at the firm’s New York office on January 31, 2018. Mr. Roth is chair of the Investment Funds and SBIC Practice and a member of the Private Equity Practice. He focuses his practice on venture capital and private equity representation, including small business investment company (SBIC) licensing, investment and compliance, fund formation, corporate acquisitions and representation of closely held corporations and individuals.
Ms. Loy is a partner in Jenner & Block’s tax practice, where she focuses on all aspects of tax planning, private equity, regulatory and compliance work, merger and acquisitions and fund formation matters. Ms. Loy represents funds and fund sponsors in structuring, negotiating and forming private equity and venture capital funds.
