Jenner & Block Partner Benjamin R. Mulcahy moderated a panel discussion at the Entertainment and Media Law Conference sponsored by the Media Law Resource Center. Titled “Torts and Tastemakers: Adventures in Influencer Advertising,” the discussion examined the emergence of brands using social media influencers to endorse products, guidelines and strategies to avoid legal issues.
Mr. Mulcahy is co-chair of the Trademark, Advertising and Unfair Competition Practice. He represents several of the major film studios, broadcast and cable television networks, retailers, consumer brands and their agencies in all aspects of sports marketing, entertainment marketing and interactive marketing as well as in innovative branded entertainment and e-commerce initiatives.
