Jenner & Block Special Counsel Heidi L. Wachs will present a webinar hosted by The American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers (AACRAO) on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) as it relates to higher education. Ms. Wachs and Bret Cohen, a partner at Hogan Lovells, and Mark McConahay, vice provost and registrar at Indiana University – Bloomington, will discuss the regulation from a legal perspective and address its implications for affected universities, including holding these institutions more accountable for the data they hold. The regulation, adopted by the European Parliament in April 2016, significantly expands personal privacy rights for EU residents. The webinar, the second in a series of three, will be held on November 14 at 2 pm ET.
