Jenner & Block Partner Rebekah P. Goodheart will discuss reverse auctions in the broadband industry during the Schools, Health & Libraries Broadband Coalition’s Broadband 4 All Universal Service Symposium. Ms. Goodheart and other panelists will explore issues and opportunities regarding the Federal Communications Commission’s decision to award future universal service funding through reverse auctions.
Based in Washington, DC, the SHLB Coalition is a non-profit advocacy organization that supports open, affordable, high-capacity broadband connections for anchor institutions and their surrounding communities. The Symposium is intended to help applicants, state and local government officials, and broadband service providers understand and anticipate upcoming changes in the E-rate, Rural Health Care,Lifeline,andConnect America Fund programs. The Symposium will be held on November 2, 2017, at the National Union Building in Washington, DC.
Ms. Goodheart is a member of the Communications, Internet & Technology Practice. She has significant experience advocating before the Federal Communications Commission on wireline, wireless and media issues.
