Jenner & Block Partner Sam Hirsch joined a panel discussion titled “Indian Country, the Supreme Court, and the Long Conference,” hosted by the National Congress of American Indians (NCAI). NCAI is the Nation’s oldest and largest intertribal organization. NCAI and NARF, the Native American Rights Fund, run the Tribal Supreme Court Project, which sponsored this Webinar.
Mr. Hirsch is a leading the firm’s work involving Indian law. He previously served as acting assistant attorney general and principal deputy at the DOJ’s Environment and Natural Resources Division, where he oversaw all litigation in which the United States sought to protect tribal lands, resources, jurisdiction, and treaty rights.
