“Cyber Incident Investigations,” Privacy + Security Forum

Jenner & Block Special Counsel Heidi L. Wachs will participate in a panel discussion at the Privacy + Security Forum in Washington, DC on October 5, 2017. Titled “Cyber Incident Investigations,” Ms. Wachs’ panel will discuss the challenges of and strategies for conducting internal investigations of cyber incidents, particularly within a cross-border organization. Ms. Wachs and the other panelists will cover the following topics: structuring your response team, navigating employee privacy, employment law issues and employee discipline across jurisdictions; leveraging technology to support your investigations; the benefits and drawbacks of common technological solutions such as DLP; and structuring internal communications to maintain the attorney-client privilege while keeping the right people informed. The session will take place on the second day of the three-day conference.
