"The Police and Electronic Privacy,” Second Circuit Judicial Conference

Jenner & Block Partner David Bitkower joined a panel of practitioners at the Second Circuit Judicial Conference for a discussion on “The Police and Electronic Privacy.” As a panelist, Mr. Bitkower examined Fourth Amendment issues raised by government searches of electronic information stored on devices and in the cloud, with a focus on emerging and changing case law governing particularity, location information, cross-border access and use restrictions. The audience was primarily federal judges from the Second Circuit, and the conference was arranged by the Federal Judicial Center. The conference was held on June 9, 2017.

Mr. Bitkower is a member of the Investigations, Compliance and Defense Practice. He joined the firm after more than a decade as a federal prosecutor. He has managed prominent white collar cases, leading clients to turn to him for their most significant, complex and high-profile matters.
