Jenner & Block hosted a panel discussion on mediation on June 6 at the firm’s New York office. Co-sponsored by the Coalition of Women’s Initiatives, the event featured a panel discussion of women in mediation, who explored topics including when mediation is most useful; how to approach the exchange of information during mediation; and how dynamics of race, gender, and age can play out in the mediation setting. The panel included experienced female mediators, including the immediate past president of the New York State Bar Association, and attorneys who regularly represent clients in mediation. The discussion was moderated by Partner Elizabeth A. Edmondson.
