Jenner & Block Partners Christian Tuddenham and Jason Yardley were both speakers at the 2017 CDR Spring Arbitration Symposium, which took place in London on April 27. The symposium explored a wide range of sectoral and practice developments in international arbitration and alternative dispute resolution. Mr. Tuddenham was a member of a panel that discussed “Drafting the Perfect Dispute Resolution Clause”, and whether such clauses should include other alternative dispute resolution options. Mr. Yardley spoke on a panel titled “Ensuring the Enforcement of Arbitral Awards”, which remains a key challenge in ensuring a client’s commercial objectives are met.
The conference was attended by an audience of practitioners, in-house lawyers and professionals from associated industries around the world.
Mr. Tuddenham advises financial institutions and companies worldwide across a range of specialisms in both litigation and arbitration, including securities litigation, fraud and economic tort claims, shareholder and joint venture disputes, and asset-tracing/enforcement matters. In addition to English law disputes, he has particular experience managing disputes in the emerging and frontier markets, including in Russia and the CIS, India, Pakistan and the Middle East.
Mr. Yardley has more than two decades of international litigation and arbitration experience handling complex commercial disputes. He has represented clients before all divisions of the English High Court, the Court of Appeal, the Supreme Court, the Privy Council and numerous overseas courts, as well as before institutional and ad hoc arbitration tribunals.
