“Broadcasting to a Different Audience: Interagency Review in Telecomm Mergers,” American Bar Association

On May 3, 2017, Jenner & Block Partner Samuel L. Feder participated in a panel discussion on telecommunication mergers and interagency review.  Titled “Broadcasting to a Different Audience: Interagency Review in Telecomm Mergers,” Mr. Feder and the other panelists explored the unique interests of the Federal Communications Commission, Department of Justice and state regulators involved in reviewing media mergers and discussed the regulators’ standards and remedy regimes that programmers and video providers entering into a merger should be aware of.  The hour-long program was presented by the American Bar Association.

A former FCC general counsel, Mr. Feder is managing partner of Jenner & Block’s Washington, DC office and co-chair of the firm’s Communications, Internet and Technology Practice.  He represents clients on many significant communications issues including net neutrality, broadband classification, universal service and intercarrier compensation.
