Jenner & Block Partner John R. Storino discussed the implications of whistleblower laws on in-house lawyers.  Titled “The In-House Lawyer As Whistleblower,” Mr. Storino’s presentation explored topics including the structure of the whistleblower program enacted as part of Dodd-Frank financial reform; requirements for lawyers under Sarbanes-Oxley; lawyers’ obligations to the corporate client; and real-world examples of lawyers in the whistleblowing context.  The presentation was held on January 5, 2017, at Northwestern Pritzker School of Law.

Mr. Storino is the co-chair of the Professional Responsibility Practice Group, and he represents lawyers and law firms in various different matters, including malpractice litigation, conducting internal investigations at law firms and representing attorneys before disciplinary agencies.  He represents owners, developers, subcontractors and engineers in a variety of construction law actions and counsels them regarding general business practices.
