“Recent Issues in Plan Confirmation,” 18th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference

Jenner & Block Partner Richard Levin participated as part of a panel at the 18th Annual New York City Bankruptcy Conference.  Mr. Levin served as moderator for a discussion on recent issues in plan confirmation, including decisions on cramdowns, equitable mootness and structured dismissals (Jevic), statutory subordination (American Housing Foundation), nonconsensual releases (Seaside Engineering), plan modification (SCH Corp), impairment and gifting. The program was held on May 12, 2016, in New York.

Mr. Levin is a co-chair of the firm’s Restructuring and Bankruptcy Department..  An author of the 1978 US Bankruptcy Code, he is an internationally recognized leader in complex bankruptcy litigation, transactional and special situations.  With nearly 40 years in the practice, Mr. Levin has gained a reputation as one of the foremost restructuring, bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights lawyers.
