Jenner & Block Partner April A. Otterberg participated in a mock trial exercise based on a hypothetical case involving a legal malpracticeclaim and factual issues of breach, causation and damages. Ms. Otterberg presented the defense case to a mock jury, which then deliberated the case and rendered a verdict, guided by a professional jury consultant. Ms. Otterberg also spoke to attendees briefly about the role that mock trial exercises can play in evaluating the strengths and weaknesses of a legal malpractice claim.  Titled “Your Case Evaluation - Would the Jury Agree?” the program was part of the Professional Risk Symposium sponsored by the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, which provides professional liability educational programs and seminars, networking events, educational products and information regarding professional liability.

Ms. Otterberg is a member of the Professional Responsibility and ERISA Litigation Practices.  Her professional responsibility practice includes defending lawyers and law firms from pending or threatened legal malpractice and related claims.
