“Hydraulic Fracturing in Illinois: What Has The National Frenzy Meant For Our State?” Young Professionals in Energy

Jenner & Block Associate Alexander J. Bandza moderated an event titled “Hydraulic Fracturing in Illinois: What Has The National Frenzy Meant For Our State?” that took place on April 7, 2016 at the firm’s Chicago offices.  Panelists Jenny Cassel, staff attorney with the Environmental Law and Policy Center, and Nancy Loeb, director of Northwestern Law School’s Environmental Advocacy Center, provided an overview of what the hydraulic fracturing boom has meant for Illinois and of their work shaping legislation and the regional conversation.  The program was organized by the Chicago chapter of Young Professionals in Energy, a nonprofit with more than 40,000 members worldwide, whose goal is to facilitate the advancement of young professionals in the global energy industry.  Mr. Bandza is a member of the YPE Chicago board of directors.

Mr. Bandza is an associate in the firm’s Environmental and Workplace Health & Safety Law Practice.  In addition to his involvement with YPE, he is currently serving as chair of the Constitutional Law Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Environment, Energy and Resources.
