American Conference Institute’s 11th National Forum on ERISA Litigation

Jenner & Block Partners Amanda S. Amert and Craig C. Martin will participate in the American Conference Institute’s 11th National Forum on ERISA Litigation.  As a co-chair of the Forum, Ms. Amert will give welcoming remarks on March 1, 2016.  Also on March 1, Mr. Martin will speak at a panel discussion called “Recent Stock-Drop Decisions and Ramifications for Fiduciaries of Retirement Plans: The Interplay Between ERISA and Securities Law.”  On March 2, Ms. Amert will speak  at a panel discussion titled “Prohibitions on Individual Recovery, Anti-Cutback Lawsuits, Fiduciary Breach Claims, and More.”  The Forum is designed to offer strategies for leading in-house and outside counsel on litigating today’s key issues involving benefit plans, plan investments and fiduciaries.  The Forum will be held at the Omni Chicago Hotel in Chicago from March 1-2, 2016.

Ms. Amert is chair of the ERISA Litigation Practice and has a wide variety of business litigation, appellate and arbitration experience.  Recognized for her substantial experience in ERISA law, she has represented ERISA plan fiduciaries and service providers in federal courts around the country at the trial and appellate levels, in both individual and class-action lawsuits.

Mr. Martin is chair of the firm’s Litigation Department.  He practices in complex civil and commercial litigation involving a wide variety of substantive areas of the law, including attorney discipline and malpractice, civil and criminal antitrust, civil racketeering, civil rights, commercial law, contracts, employment, environmental, ERISA, estates and trusts, financial institution fraud, government contracts, intellectual property, insurance coverage, product liability, shareholder class action and derivative actions, tort and mass tort.
