“How to Interact with External Regulators and Investigators,” National Association of College and University Attorneys

Jenner & Block Partner Anthony S. Barkow will speak at the National Association of College and University Attorneys’ 2015 November Workshop, which will focus on college and university compliance programs.  Titled  “How to Interact with External Regulators and Investigators,” Mr. Barkow’s panel will address understanding  what agencies and agents expect;  ascertaining a client’s status in a regulatory or criminal investigation; negotiating the scope and timing of responses; emphasizing the unique nature of colleges and universities in investigations; and elevating objections.  The panel will be held in Washington, DC on November 13, 2015, the last day of the three-day Workshop.

Mr. Barkow is a member of the White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice.  A former federal prosecutor in Manhattan and Washington, D.C., he was involved in significant international terrorism and white collar criminal cases and prosecuted a variety of other crimes.   He is an accomplished trial and appellate lawyer with experience in both criminal and civil matters.
