Jenner & Block Associates Peter H. Hanna and Shaun M. Van Horn presented a CLE program to members of the Chicago Bar Association. The program, which was part of the CBA’s Federal Civil Practice series, focused on identifying practice pointers and lessons through the lens of several of the Supreme Court’s recent patent law decisions, including Alice Corp. v. CLS Bank, Teva v. Sandoz, Commil v. Cisco and Kimble v. Marvel. The program was held on October 6, 2015. This was Messrs. Hanna and Van Horn’s second presentation to the CBA on federal civil practice this year.
Mr. Hanna’s practice focuses on patent and technology litigation and counseling with a focus on electrical engineering and computer technologies. In addition, Mr. Hanna has counseled an array of clients on data security and privacy-related matters.
Mr. Van Horn litigates matters and counsels clients in competition law, intellectual property and technology disputes, government procurement, and complex financial transactions. His practice spans state and federal courts throughout the country, in which he represents primarily publicly-traded companies in high-stakes commercial disputes.
