Jenner & Block Partner Carter H. Klein conducted a webinar that explored the problems and pitfalls in drafting letters of credit and how they can be avoided. Titled “Letters of Credit: What They Are, How to Draft Them & Frequently Encountered Issues,” the webinar focused on the rules and practices that are little understood and/or misunderstood by applicants and beneficiaries. Mr. Klein shared his insight on the differences between letters of credit, bonds, guaranties, collateralizations and other credit enhancement devices, especially in the context of a bankruptcy.
