“Regulatory Reform,” FMA 2015 Treasury and Capital Markets Legal and Legislative Issues Conference

Jenner & Block Partner Richard Levin will speak at the 2015 Treasury and Capital Markets Legal and Legislative Issues Conference, a forum for banking and securities attorneys, senior compliance officers and regulators.  The focus is on high-level discussion of evolving banking and securities law, enforcement proceedings, financial holding company issues, securities underwriting and distribution, capital markets regulation and public finance.  In a session titled “Regulatory Reform,” that will address resolution planning, the Financial Stability Board’s TLAC proposal, the ISDA Resolution Stay Protocol, and the proper role of the Financial Stability Board in US rulemaking, Mr. Levin will focus on proposed chapter 14 of the Bankruptcy Code, which would provide a bankruptcy vehicle for resolution of systemically important financial institutions.  The session will be held from 12:40-1:35 pm on October 22.  Sponsored by the Financial Markets Association, the conference will be held at the Hyatt Regency on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.
