“Convergence of Capital Markets and Reinsurance: Catastrophe Bonds and Other Insurance Linked Securities,” International Bar Association’s Annual Conference

Jenner & Block Partner David M. Greenwald will speak at the International Bar Association’s Annual Conference in Vienna.  Titled “Convergence of Capital Markets and Reinsurance: Catastrophe Bonds and Other Insurance Linked Securities,” the panel will focus on topics including what is driving the growth of non-traditional forms of reinsurance; who is investing in these securities; and, as the Cat Bond market grows, whether there is concern that non-specialized investors will acquire these securities without understanding the underlying risks.  Co-led by the Insurance Committee and the Capital Markets Committee, the session will be held on October 8, 2015.

Mr. Greenwald is a tested trial lawyer with more than 29 years of commercial litigation, domestic and international arbitration, and domestic and international internal investigation experience relating to a wide variety of substantive areas and across a broad spectrum of industries.  He speaks and writes regularly on issues relating to e-discovery, ethics, the attorney-client privilege and the work product doctrine.
