“Diversity and Discrimination as Legal Ethics Issues,” American Bar Association, Center for Professional Development, Center For Professional Responsibility, Center for Racial and Ethnic Diversity and Commission on Women In the Profession

Jenner & Block Partner Gail H. Morse will speak at a CLE webinar that will examine ethics issues regarding diversity and inclusion in the legal profession. Gail and the other panelists will survey the current landscape and provide a variety of perspectives in response to a series of hypotheticals reflecting difficult questions that lawyers may encounter related to ethics obligations and furthering nondiscrimination, diversity, and inclusion in the profession. Titled “Diversity and Discrimination as Legal Ethics Issues,” the webinar is sponsored by the American Bar Association, Center for Professional Development, Center For Professional Responsibility, Center for Racial and Ethnic Diversity and Commission on Women In the Profession.  It will be held from 1-2:35 pm ET on October 19, 2015.

Ms. Morse, a member of the firm’s Tax Practice, is a long-time advocate for advancing LGBT awareness and civil rights.  In 2015, she was inducted into the Chicago Gay and Lesbian Hall of Fame.  She is a member of the Board of Directors for the Illinois Women’s Institute for Leadership and the Board of Directors of Lambda Legal.  She is a former vice-chair of the Board of Directors for the Chicago-based Women’s Treatment Center, former commissioner on the Cook County Commission on Women’s Issues and a former chair of WILPOWER, the political action committee of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois.
