Jenner & Block Partner Louis E. Fogel will share insights about his career path with University of Chicago graduate students, post-docs, and faculty who have biological or health science degrees.  Louis earned his Ph.D. in chemistry as well as his JD from the University. Titled “What Can I Do with My Ph.D.?” the seminar will feature a discussion of, among other topics, his career pathway from graduate school to his current position, what his typical day entails, and whether his science-related publications were important in becoming a patent attorney.  The seminar is part of the University’s myCHOICE program, which educates and prepares trainees with biological or health science degrees for their ideal career path.  It will be held on September 28, 2015, at the University.

Mr. Fogel counsels life sciences clients in all aspects of complex patent litigation. He has litigated across a range of technologies, including biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, and consumer electronics. He is an experienced trial lawyer with courtroom experience before both juries and in bench proceedings.
