Jenner & Block Partner Reid J. Schar will speak at a CLE program of the St. Paul Chamber of Commerce.  Titled “Ethical Challenges and Responsibilities of Leaders,” the program will focus on Mr. Schar’s work as a former assistant US attorney, in particular his successful prosecution of former Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich.  Using evidence from the Blagojevich trials (including the wire taps), Mr. Schar will speak about the ethical challenges and responsibilities of leaders today.  The program will be held on July 16 from 11:30 am to 1 pm at the University of Northwestern-St. Paul. 

Mr. Schar is co-chair of the White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice.  A former assistant US attorney, he tried more than 20 criminal cases, many involving sophisticated fraud and financing issues.  Clients regularly turn to Mr. Schar with their most significant white collar matters and investigations as well as complex commercial litigation matters.
