Jenner & Block Partners Richard Levin and Catherine L. Steege will speak at a National Bankruptcy Conference program called “Rethinking Chapter 11” to be held on May 28-29, 2015, in Washington, DC. Mr. Levin, an organizer of the event, will give opening and closing remarks. Ms. Steege will join a panel discussion in a session called “Small Business Bankruptcies.” To be held on May 29, 2015, that session will focus on the special set of challenges that small business bankruptcies present for bankruptcy reform. The program will be held at the House Committee on the Judiciary Hearing Room 2237 in the Rayburn House Office Building.
Mr. Levin is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization Practice. An author of the 1978 US Bankruptcy Code, he is an internationally recognized leader in complex bankruptcy litigation, transactional and special situations. With nearly 40 years in the practice, Mr. Levin has gained a reputation as one of the foremost restructuring, bankruptcy and creditor-debtor rights lawyers.
Ms. Steege is co-chair of the Bankruptcy Litigation Practice. Debtors, creditors, creditors’ committees, 1114 committees, trustees and other parties seek her representation before the bankruptcy courts. She also handles complex litigation arising out of bankruptcy cases and insolvencies.
