Jenner & Block Partner Andrew J. Thomas spoke in two sessions at the International Trademark Association’s 137th Annual Meeting in San Diego.  Mr. Thomas first spoke at a session called “The Emerging 3D Printing Ecosystem: Marketplace Overview and Legal Analysis.”  He then presented at a session titled “The Assertion of Trademark Claims Based on the Unlicensed Depiction of Real or Fictional Products in Expressive Works like Motion Pictures, Television and Videogames.”  The meeting was held on May 2-6, 2015, at the San Diego Convention Center. 

Mr. Thomas is a media and entertainment litigator who focuses on copyright and trademark matters, First Amendment cases, and complex business litigation.  Clients ranging from motion picture studios and television networks to book publishers and newspapers seek his representation at the trial and appellate levels in matters including intellectual property rights, defamation and privacy, unfair competition claims, and prior restraints on speech.  Mr. Thomas was recently named a “Top Intellectual Property Litigator” by the Los Angeles and San Francisco Daily Journal in the practice areas of both copyright and trademark.
