“Patent Trial and Appeal Board Trials and Their Impact on Litigation,” Federal Circuit Bar Association Patent Litigation Committee

Jenner & Block Partner Steven R. Trybus will speak at a panel discussion about the Patent Trial and Appeal Board (PTAB), to be webcast on May 12, 2015, from 2-3 pm Eastern.  Sponsored by the Federal Circuit Bar Association Patent Litigation Committee, the panel will focus on how PTAB trials have affected patent litigation: stays, preclusion and effects on filings.  Panelists will explore how PTAB proceedings have evolved since the Committee’s first PTAB webinar in 2013. 

Mr. Trybus is a litigator who focuses on trials and appeals of complex patent disputes. He has worked on matters involving a wide variety of technologies. Mr. Trybus also has worked with technology related to containers, food processing equipment and other mechanical devices. In addition to litigation in various US District Courts, he counsels his clients in the worldwide protection and enforcement of intellectual property and has experience coordinating foreign proceedings, including patent oppositions, as a part of multi-national patent disputes. He also has significant experience in contested proceedings in the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
