“Competition Law Issues Around Big Data,” 63rd American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting

Jenner & Block Partner Mary Ellen Callahan will speak at the 63rd American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law Spring Meeting.  Titled “Competition Law Issues Around Big Data,” Ms. Callahan’s session will explore competition  and consumer protection law issues surrounding ownership of data and  consumer-protection issues relating to data breaches in the United States and European Union.  The panel is presented by the Consumer Protection, Joint Conduct and Unilateral Conduct Committees.  The session will be held on April 15, 2015, in Washington, DC. 

Ms. Callahan is the founder and chair of the firm’s Privacy and Information Governance Practice.  The former chief privacy officer of the United States Department of Homeland Security, she has a unique and broad knowledge of and experience with the interface of the protection of privacy, civil rights and civil liberties with cybersecurity and national security issues.
