“Additional Insured Policies: Offset Risk; Avoid Key Issues,” Progressive Business Executive Education

Jenner & Block Partner Matthew L. Jacobs will speak at a webinar that will explore issues arising when parties are added as additional insureds to another named insured’s policy and how such coverage is often broader than the rights a party obtains through contractual indemnification. Titled “Additional Insured Policies: Offset Risk; Avoid Key Issues with a focus on In Re Deepwater Horizon,” the webinar will examine the appropriate scope of coverage and the risk transfer techniques for protection pursuant to additional insured endorsements. It will also explain the significant rulings handed down by the Texas Supreme Court in February 2015 as part of the Deepwater Horizon litigation. The live, hour-long webinar starts at 1 pm Eastern on March 18.  It is sponsored by Progressive Business Executive Education.

Mr. Jacobs is a member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery and Counseling and Reinsurance Practices and has been successfully litigating insurance coverage matters for more than 25 years.  He handles complex, multi-party insurance coverage matters in state and federal courts.
