“Government Contract Issues in Bankruptcy,” West LegalEdcenter

Jenner & Block Partners Vincent E. Lazar and Damien C. Specht and Associate Carl N. Wedoff spoke at a webinar that explored the considerations facing government contractors who are considering Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.  Titled “Government Contract Issues in Bankruptcy,” the program provided an overview of bankruptcy issues relevant to government contractors and practical guidance to government contractors and counterparties on preserving value and successfully navigating the bankruptcy process.  Sponsored by the West LegalEdcenter, the webinar was held on March 2, 2015.

Mr. Specht is co-chair of the Government Contracts Corporate Transactions Group.  In addition to representing clients in all facets of government contracts mergers and acquisitions, he has experience in a variety of government contracts matters, including Federal Acquisition Regulation counseling, preparation of subcontracts and teaming agreements, contract disputes and both pre- and post-award bid protests.

Mr. Lazar is co-chair of the Bankruptcy Litigation Practice.  He is a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy and represents a wide variety of parties, including committees, trustees, and debtors, in bankruptcy cases and bankruptcy-related litigation.

Mr. Wedoff is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization Practice.  He has represented a range of clients in bankruptcy-related and non-bankruptcy commercial matters.  Other areas of experience for Mr. Wedoff include commodity broker bankruptcies, energy-related bankruptcies, complex commercial litigation, and internal investigations.
