Jenner & Block Partners Larry P. Ellsworth and Elaine Wolff will participate in a panel discussion to explain to government lawyers what resources and opportunities are provided by the D.C. Bar's Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section and its new Government Lawyers Committee. There will be a general discussion and Q&A with section leaders to get SEC staff interested in section activities. This DC Bar program will take place from noon until 2 p.m. on January 28, 2015, at the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Larry is a partner in the firm's Litigation Department and a member of its Securities Litigation and Enforcement and Class Action Practices. He is a former assistant chief litigation counsel for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission’s Trial Unit. Larry is chairman of the DC Bar’s Broker-Dealer Regulation and SEC Enforcement Committee and previously served as Chairman of both the DC Bar’s Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section and .Administrative Law Section.
Elaine is a corporate attorney who focuses in the areas of corporate finance and securities law. She draws on extensive experience in the public and private sectors, including several roles with the Securities and Exchange Commission, where she worked from 1997-2007. She is currently the chairman of the DC Bar’s Corporate Finance Committee and formerly served on the Steering Committee for the DC Bar’s Corporation, Finance and Securities Law Section.
