“Staying Out of Trouble – SEC Enforcement and Litigation Update,” Practising Law Institute’s 30th Annual SEC Reporting & FASB Forum

Jenner & Block Partner Thomas C. Newkirk will speak at a CLE seminar that will explore the ever-changing world of accounting and SEC reporting.  The Practising Law Institute’s 30th annual SEC Reporting & FASB (Financial Accounting Standard Board) Forum will help attendees understand the regulators’ hot button issues and significant changes in accounting and auditing.  Tom’s presentation will be “Staying Out of Trouble – SEC Enforcement and Litigation Update.” The forum will be held on December 17 in New York. 

Tom is co-chair of the firm’s Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practice and a member of the Securities Practice and Japan Practice.  Drawing on his 19 years of experience as a senior official with the SEC before joining Jenner & Block, he represents companies and their leaders in confidential SEC investigations related to such issues as accounting, disclosure, insider trading, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and related litigation.
