Jenner & Block Partners Mary Ellen Callahan and Matthew L. Jacobs will speak at the National Association of Wholesalers-Distributors Billion Dollar Company Chief Information Officer Roundtable. Titled “Data Breach and Cyber Security – Why Wholesalers Should Care,” their session will feature discussion of how to assess cyber security vulnerabilities and the best practices to develop a strategy to combat them while minimizing operational and financial losses. Similar to other billion dollar roundtables that NAW has created for CLOs, CFOs, operations and human resource executives, this by-invitation-only roundtable is composed of executives from billion-dollar companies that meet in Chicago two times per year. Matt previously spoke at the NAW Billion Dollar Company Chief Legal Officer Roundtable. The CIO roundtable will be held on December 3 in Chicago.
Mary Ellen is the founder and chair of the firm’s Privacy and Information Governance Practice. The former chief privacy officer of the United States Department of Homeland Security, she has a unique and broad knowledge of and experience with the interface of the protection of privacy, civil rights and civil liberties with cybersecurity and national security issues.
Matt is a member of the firm’s Insurance Recovery and Counseling and Reinsurance Practices and has been successfully litigating insurance coverage matters for more than 25 years. He handles complex, multi-party insurance coverage matters in state and federal courts.
