Jenner & Block Partner Timothy A. Karpoff recently gave the keynote address at a seminar that explored the changing legal landscape of commercial real estate lending and investing. Sponsored by the Daily Business Review of Miami, the South Florida Commercial Real Estate Lending Conference focused on the intricacies of the new regulatory and legislative environment for both commercial and condo residential markets. Tim spoke about the most recent developments in commercial lending regulation. The conference was held on October 30, 2014, in Miami.
Tim is a member of the Government Controversies and Public Policy Litigation and Markets and Trading Practices. His practice focuses on corporate and institutional financial services. He has particular experience with market structure, derivatives regulation and banking regulation having been heavily involved with developing and implementing the Dodd-Frank Act as well as the new Basel rules at both the Treasury Department and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
