Jenner & Block Partner Ronald R. Peterson and Associate Galen R. Mason will speak at the Law Education Institute’s National CLE Conference to be held January 4-9 in Vail, Colorado.
The conference, equipped with ten different program tracks, will feature will over 200 lawyers, judges and professors from around the country.
The Bankruptcy Law Program will showcase panel discussions on relevant issues in the practice area, including current developments and issues in Adequate Protection, the economic and legislative trends on the horizon, and a case law update amongst other things.
Mr. Peterson will participate in the following panels: January 5, “The Current State of the Doctrine of Deepening Insolvency, “January 6, “Practical Issues in Bankruptcy litigation; Strategies and Evidentiary Problems,” and lastly on January 8, “Individual Chapter 11 and The Means Test; Are these New Chapter 13’s on Steroids.”
Mr. Mason will participate in the Employee Benefits Program which will discuss a variety of topics including recent regulatory guidance and enforcement efforts, the Pension Protection Act, and recent case law concerning the issue of employee stocks and ERISA fiduciary duties. Specifically, Mr. Mason will speak on a panel on January 9 titled, “Permissive Aggregation of Welfare Benefit Funds under IRC 419A.”
Mr. Peterson is a member of the Firm’s Bankruptcy, Workout and Corporate Reorganization, Construction Law, Corporate, and Commercial Finance Practices. Mr. Mason is a member of the Firm’s Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation, ERISA Litigation, and Private Equity/Investment Management Practices.
