“Substituted Compliance, Legislation, and Enforcement,” National Association of Corporate Treasurers

Jenner & Block Partner Timothy A. Karpoff spoke at the annual meeting of the National Association of Corporate Treasurers.  Tim was a panelist in a session that explored how new regulations affect the way practitioners manage risk. Titled “Substituted Compliance, Legislation, and Enforcement,” his presentation concerned the regulation of over-the-counter derivatives.  The conference was held on May 30, 2014, in New York.

Tim is a member of the Government Controversies and Public Policy Litigation and Markets and Trading Practices.  His practice focuses on corporate and  institutional financial services. He has particular experience with market structure, derivatives regulation and banking regulation  having been heavily involved with developing and implementing the Dodd-Frank Act as well as the new Basel rules at both the Treasury Department and the U.S. Commodity Futures Trading Commission.
