Jenner & Block Partners Mary Ellen Callahan and Reid J. Schar spoke at the Law Bulletin Seminar’s annual “White Collar Crime ǀ Corporate Governance” conference.   Reid moderated the panel “Meeting DOJ Expectations: Your Company’s To-Do List” while Mary Ellen moderated the panel “Managing and Protecting Sensitive Information.”  Reid, Mary Ellen and other nationally recognized practitioners shared their insights to an audience of in-house counsel, corporate management, outside counsel and government officials.  The full-day CLE event was held on April 17, 2014, in Chicago.

Mary Ellen is the founder and chair of the firm’s Privacy and Information Governance Practice.  The former chief privacy officer of the United States Department of Homeland Security, she has a unique and broad knowledge of and experience with the interface of the protection of privacy, civil rights and civil liberties with cybersecurity and national security issues.

Reid is co-chair of the White Collar Defense and Investigations Practice.  A former assistant U.S. attorney, he tried more than 20 criminal cases, many involving sophisticated fraud and financing issues.  Clients regularly turn to Reid with their most significant white collar matters and investigations as well as complex commercial litigation matters.
