Jenner & Block Partners William D. Heinz and David Jiménez-Ekmanwill speak at a Practising Law Institute program titled “Staying Out of Trouble: What Every Attorney Must Know About Ethics 2014,” on Wednesday, April 30 at the University of Chicago’s Gleacher Center.  Bill and David will be members of a panel that will focus on “Attorney Disqualification,” including a discussion of duties to former clients; recent decisions, trends and assessments; best practices for avoiding conflicts in client intake; and responding to a conflict allegation.  The presentation will run from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. 

Bill is a Fellow of the prestigious American College of Trial Lawyers and serves as firm counsel and co-chair of the Professional Responsibility Practice.  He has served as an adjunct professor of professional responsibility law at Northwestern University School of Law. 

David is a member of the firm's Professional Responsibility, Environmental Litigation and Bankruptcy Litigation Practices and also serves as firm counsel to Jenner & Block.  He has represented more than a dozen national and international law firms and their individual lawyers as defendants in all aspects of high-stakes professional liability litigation.
