“Key Issues in Government Contracts Mergers and Acquisitions,” DC Bar

Jenner & Block Partner Peter H. Rosenbaum and Special Counsel Damien C. Specht presented a program that explored the unique concerns in mergers and acquisitions among companies that do government business.  Peter and Damien offered insight into issues that both buyers and sellers need to know to protect themselves, including investigating critical compliance issues, choosing the right structure for the transaction, handling novations and security clearances and evaluating socio-economic set-aside contracts.  Titled “Key Issues in Government Contracts Mergers and Acquisitions,” the seminar was sponsored by the DC Bar’s Government Contracts and Litigation Section and held on March 13, 2014.

Peter is a member of the Government Contracts Mergers and Acquisitions Group.  He concentrates in corporate transactions and counseling, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions.  In this regard, Peter has represented public and private government contractors as buyers and sellers in a wide range of industries, including defense, healthcare, information technology and aerospace.

Damien is co-chair of the Government Contracts Corporate Transactions Group.  In addition to representing clients in all facets of government contracts mergers and acquisitions, he has experience in a wide variety of government contracts matters, including Federal Acquisition Regulation counseling, preparation of subcontracts and teaming agreements, contract disputes and both pre- and post-award bid protests.
