Jenner & Block Associate Nicole A. Allen spoke at a University of Michigan Law School program titled “From Summer Associate to 5th Year Associate: Charting Your Success in Big Law,” on November 7, 2013.  Nicole and Michigan Law School alumni who are associates at the Chicago offices of Kirkland & Ellis and Mayer Brown spoke about their experiences going from being law school students to successful mid-level associates in large law firms.

Nicole is a member of Jenner & Block’s Litigation Department and its Complex Bankruptcy Litigation, Markets and Trading, and Securities Litigation and Enforcement Practices.  She focuses her practice on government investigations and enforcement actions and complex financial litigation.  She has represented clients in white collar criminal defense matters; investigations initiated by the Department of Justice, IRS Criminal Investigation Division, and Department of Treasury; enforcement actions brought by the SEC; and in civil litigation matters involving alleged insider trading, securities fraud, breach of fiduciary duty, and breach of contract.  Nicole has been recognized by Illinois Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” in white collar criminal defense in 2012, 2013, and 2014.  In 2011 and 2012, the National Association of Professional Women named her “Professional Woman of the Year.”
